Xian is a walled city with a drum tower and a bell tower inside it and an army of clay figures buried in the fields outside. The wall is wide enough to cycle round, the muslim quarter runs on food and lanterns after dark, and a pagoda of pale brick stands in the south. The colour is grey brick and red lantern. This was the eastern end of the silk road, which explains the food. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
