Pamukkale, Turkey.
4 pieces
Pamukkale is a hillside of white mineral terraces holding shallow pools of warm water, formed by springs depositing calcium over a very long time. Ruins of a roman spa town sit on the plateau above it, and the whole slope reads as snow from a distance when it is nothing of the kind. You walk the terraces barefoot, because shoes would damage them. A pool at the top is scattered with fallen columns and you can swim among them. The water comes out warm enough to bathe in all year. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
