Mykonos is whitewash, bougainvillea and the windmills up on the ridge. The lanes were built deliberately confusing, to slow down anyone who came ashore uninvited, so the town is a maze of white walls with blue shutters and the occasional flash of pink over a doorway. The sea goes almost violet late in the day. Like Santorini its palette has already been chosen, so the work here is about shape and shadow rather than colour, and the windmills do most of the identifying. It comes as a print, an ornament and the smaller things.
