The Acropolis is marble on a rock above a city. Columns standing open to the sky, the stone bleached almost white at midday and going honey coloured at the end of the day, olive trees on the slopes below, and mountains and sea on the horizon beyond. It is drawn constantly and still worth drawing. The columns bulge very slightly so that they look straight from below. A museum at the foot holds the sculptures that could be saved. Theatres cut into the slope are still used for performances. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
