Lisbon is a city of tiles. Azulejo fronts in blue and white, the yellow trams that climb to Bairro Alto, and the long light coming off the Tejo late in the afternoon. It is the pattern that makes it: the calcada underfoot, the geometric blue of a church wall, the wash of terracotta rooftops seen from a miradouro. The Lisbon work here takes that pattern and puts it on the things that live in a house. A print for a wall, an ornament for a tree, a coaster under a cup.
