Jaipur is painted pink, a whole old city of it, done once for a royal visit and never undone. A palace front of small windows stacked like a honeycomb, a fort on the ridge above, observatory instruments built at architectural scale, and block printed cloth in every shop. The colour is that pink with marigold and turquoise against it. Kites fill the sky for a festival in January and the roofs fill with people. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and the rest.
