Doha is a skyline of towers on a curved bay with a museum on its own island built from pale stone cubes, and a rebuilt souk of low buildings and narrow lanes behind it. Dhows moored along the corniche, desert reaching the sea to the south with dunes running into the water, and a heat that keeps everything indoors through the middle of the day. Falconry is still practised and there is a hospital in the souk purely for the birds. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
