The Azores are volcanic islands in the middle of the Atlantic, green to the waterline, with craters, hot springs and cliffs dropping into deep blue. Hedges of hydrangea along the lanes, black stone walls round small fields, whales offshore, and weather that changes by the hour. Pineapples are grown under glass on one of the islands, which nobody expects. Nine islands make up the group and each has its own character. Whaling gave way to whale watching and the lookouts are still used. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
