The Alhambra is a red walled fortress palace on a ridge with the Sierra Nevada behind it. Inside, plaster carved into something closer to lace, courtyards with long pools, tiled dados in geometric pattern, and water running quietly through all of it. The contrast between the plain outer walls and the interior is the point. Inscriptions in the plaster repeat one phrase over and over across the walls. Tickets sell out weeks ahead and the palace limits numbers by the hour. The gardens above it were the summer retreat and have their own water. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
