Zurich sits at the end of its lake with the Alps stacked up behind on a clear day, and it is a tidier place than almost anywhere else here. Pale stone along the Limmat, two church towers facing each other across the water, trams that arrive when they say they will, and a lake so clean people swim in it in the middle of the city. The colour is restrained, grey stone and green water and that band of white on the horizon, so it suits line work and the cooler washes rather than anything loud. It comes here as a print for a wall, an ornament for a tree, a coaster and the rest.
