Strasbourg is a cathedral in pink sandstone with one spire, and a quarter of timber framed houses on canals behind it. Covered bridges with towers, flowers on every rail, a Christmas market that claims to be the oldest, and a light that goes gold on that pink stone late in the day. The cathedral has an astronomical clock with figures that move at midday. Alsatian food is German in portion and French in execution. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and December things.
