Tuscany is cypress along a ridge, farmhouses in warm stone, and hills that go gold after the harvest. Vineyards and olives on terraces, hill towns with towers, a light in the late afternoon that is the reason painters came, and mist in the valleys on autumn mornings. The colour is ochre, cypress green and gold. Marble for the great sculptures came out of mountains at the northern end. Hill towns keep rivalries that are centuries old and settle them with horse races. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
