Stonehenge is grey sarsen standing in open chalk grassland with nothing else in the view. Lintels still in place across the uprights, lichen on the stone, sheep on the downs around it, and a sky that does most of the work. It is smaller than people expect and stranger. Some of the stones were brought from mountains a very long way west. The whole landscape around it is full of barrows and older monuments. Thousands come for the solstice and stand among the stones. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
