Munich is orderly and fond of a beer hall. Pale baroque fronts, onion domes on the cathedral towers, a river running green and cold through a park big enough to lose an afternoon in, and the Alps close enough to see on a clear winter day. A glockenspiel in the main square still draws a crowd twice a day to watch wooden figures turn. It does Christmas properly, and that is where a good deal of the work here goes. The Munich pieces come as ornaments, prints, coasters and the things that come out in December.
