Lofoten is a chain of islands above the arctic circle where mountains rise straight from the sea with no foothills, so the peaks look far higher than they measure. Red fishermen's cabins on stilts over the water, cod drying on wooden racks through the spring, white sand beaches beside water that is far too cold, and midnight sun in summer. Cod dried on those racks has been exported from here since the viking age. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
