Kaohsiung is a harbour city in the south with a lagoon at one end holding a dragon and a tiger pagoda joined by a bridge. Warehouses turned into arts space along the water, a metro station with a dome of coloured glass, palms, and a heat that lasts most of the year. You enter the dragon and leave through the tiger, and doing it the other way is bad luck. Night markets here run later and cheaper than in the capital. A ferry crosses to an island of seafood stalls and bicycles. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
