Edmonton has a river valley running right through the middle of it, the largest stretch of urban parkland in the country, so the city is split by forest rather than a road. Winters are long and bright, summers have daylight until very late, and the prairie starts as soon as the valley ends. The colour is river green, snow and a big sky.
