Regina is a prairie city with a lake and park built in the middle of it, because everything there was built rather than found. Flat land to the horizon in every direction, a legislature in stone reflected in the water, elm shaded streets, and sunsets that go on across the whole sky. Every tree in the city was planted by someone, because none grew there. The mounted police have trained here since the force began. Wascana park is larger than most city centres.
