Amalfi is a town wedged into a cleft in the cliff with a cathedral at the top of a long flight of steps. Striped stonework on the front of it, lanes going up under arches, lemon terraces above the roofs, and a small harbour below with the sea very blue. The colour is pale stone, lemon yellow and that water. Paper has been made here from rags since the middle ages and still is. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
