Yangon is a gilded stupa on a hill that dominates every view of the city, and colonial streets of shuttered buildings going green with damp below it. Gold leaf, teak, monsoon rain, and pavements crowded with stalls under awnings. The colour is that gold against weathered ochre. A circular train loops the city and takes three hours to go nowhere. The stupa is covered in tonnes of gold and topped with a diamond. Tea houses on the pavement are where everything gets discussed. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
