Uyuni is a salt flat the size of a small country, so flat that it is used to calibrate satellites. In the dry season it is white hexagons to the horizon; after rain a film of water turns the whole thing into a mirror and the sky doubles. Islands of cactus and coral rock stand out of it, and a train cemetery rusts on the edge of town. Flamingos breed on the lagoons at the southern end, which nobody expects at that altitude. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
