Lima, Peru.

Lima sits on cliffs above the Pacific under a grey blanket that hangs there most of the year. Colonial balconies in carved wood, painted fronts in yellow and ochre around the old squares, and a coastline of surf and mist below the parks. The contrast between that soft sky and the strong colour of the buildings is the whole subject. It almost never rains, which is why the grey overhead feels like a permanent lid rather than weather. It comes here as a print, an ornament and more.
