Tulsa has more art deco than a city its size has any business owning, built when the oil money arrived. Zigzag stone and terracotta fronts, a river running through, rolling green country to the east and flat plains west, and a sky that does enormous weather. The colour is warm stone and prairie gold. The old highway runs through, and the neon along it has been kept. An art deco museum holds a collection of western art built on oil money. The river is dammed into a lake with parkland along both banks. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and the rest.
