Transylvania is fortified churches, painted saxon towns and castles on crags with forest running to the horizon. Ochre and rose fronts round the old squares, red tiled roofs with eyelid windows in them, mountains and bears in the woods beyond. The colour is that painted row against dark forest. Shepherds still move flocks up to the high pasture each summer. Horse carts still share the roads with cars in the villages. Painted eggs and woven cloth are made in patterns particular to each valley. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
