Sydney is a harbour with a city arranged around it. The bridge, the shells of the opera house, ferries cutting green water between the headlands, and light so hard it flattens everything into shape and shadow. It is a place of silhouettes, which is why it works so well drawn in a single colour and why the blue and white pieces carry it better than anything busier. Even the suburbs are shaped by water: the harbour keeps folding back on itself so you are never far from a view of it. The Sydney work here puts that outline on the things you keep on a shelf, hang on a wall, or set under a cup.
