Malmo is a flat southern city with a twisting tower on the waterfront and a bridge running off towards Denmark. Cobbled squares and pastel fronts in the old centre, canals round the middle, wind off the sound, and more bicycles than cars. The colour is pale brick, water grey and that white tower. A submarine sits inside the science museum, which nobody expects. A bridge and tunnel put Copenhagen half an hour away. Falafel here is better than in most places it came from. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments, coasters and the rest.
