Katmai is brown bears standing in a waterfall waiting for salmon, and a valley of ash left by an eruption a century ago. Tundra and spruce, lakes reached only by float plane, and volcanoes along the range behind. The colour is river brown, tundra gold and volcanic grey. There are more bears here than almost anywhere on earth. The ash valley was buried metres deep and still steams in places. Salmon run up the river in summer in numbers that bring every bear in the region to the same few metres of water. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
