Helena, Montana.
2 pieces
Helena is a former gold camp with a gulch of brick buildings at its centre and a cathedral in pale stone with twin spires. Mountains stand close on every side, the capitol carries a copper dome, and the winters are long and bright. The colour is brick, copper and mountain grey. The main street follows the line of the original gold bearing creek. Gold taken out of the gulch made more millionaires per head here than anywhere else in the country at the time. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
