Charlotte is glass towers on a low ridge with red clay and pine country all round. Tree lined streets of brick houses in the older neighbourhoods, dogwood and crepe myrtle in flower for months, and a skyline that has gone up quickly and looks it. The colour is glass, red earth and heavy green. Gold was found here before California, which is why a mint was built. Stock car racing grew out of these hills and the museum is here. A greenway follows the creeks through much of the city. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
