Buffalo is grain elevators, a grid designed around radiating avenues, and lake effect snow that arrives by the foot. Art deco and richardsonian stone downtown, a waterfront being reclaimed, and the falls a short drive upriver. The colour is stone grey, brick and winter white. Some of the finest early skyscrapers in the country are here and still in use. Chicken wings were invented here and the argument is settled.
