Arequipa is built from white volcanic stone that gives the whole city its colour, with a volcano standing symmetrically behind the cathedral. A convent inside the town is a walled city of its own, painted in blue and terracotta, with lanes and squares you can walk. The sun at that altitude is fierce and the shadows are black. A mummy found frozen on a nearby summit is kept in a museum in the city. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
