South Dakota is prairie giving way to badlands and then to dark pine hills. Striped rock formations eroded into ridges, faces carved into a granite cliff, bison on the grass, and storms visible an hour before they arrive. The colour is bleached gold, banded rock and black hills green. A second carving in the hills has been in progress for decades and is far from done. Sunflowers fill whole fields in late summer. The pieces here come as prints, ornaments and more.
