San Antonio is the river walk sunk below street level, cypress trees leaning over green water, and the old Spanish missions in pale limestone at the edges of the city. The colour runs warm, ochre and dust and deep green, and the whole place feels closer to Mexico than to the rest of Texas. The river is the thing that makes it drawable: a narrow band of shade and reflection with the city stacked above it, lit up at night. It comes here as a print, an ornament, a coaster and more.
